Well, we’re back from our holiday break and our even longer break from blogging. We promise 2009 will bring more focus to the StarStocker.com project.

Where Has All The Crazy Gone?
When I first launched this blog and the stock market game, the world of celebrity was chocked full of entertaining crazies. Britney Spears was shaving her head, losing her kids, nailing a paparazzi and making the top story of entertainment shows. Lindsay Lohan was in the middle of drinking away a very promising career. Amy Winehouse was looking and acting like something the cat would puke up.
My how things have changed in a few short months …

Batman Is No Joke at the Box Office
“The Dark Knight” took in a staggering $155.34 million is it’s first weekend and set the record for the highest opening weekend for a super hero-based movie. The previous record was set in May of 2007 for the first weekend of Spiderman 3 which brought in $151.1 million.
Momma Mia came in at a distant second with a box office take of $27.6 million. Hancock, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Hellboy II: The Golden Army rounded out the top 5.
